What is General Dentistry?
General Dentistry is the primary care of the teeth and gums.

The doctor is trained in many areas of care, so we can serve patients of all ages and from all walks of life. We offer dental sealants and fluoride supplements for our youngest patients, while providing age appropriate care for our older patients as well.

One of the first things that catches your eye when you meet someone is their smile. A perfect smile can win the hearts of many. Crooked and stained teeth can easily put off those around you. A visit to Cherry Tree Dental Care can help you get that award winning smile and confidence that you've been looking for.

Dental Cleaning for a Beautiful Smile
Dental Cleanings can play a key role in good oral health apart from your daily dental rountine. A professional dental cleaning ensures optimum dental hygiene, oral health and a sparkling smile.

Removing Plaque: Plaque is a sticky substance that can lead to deposition of calculus and cavities resulting in tooth decay and gum problems.

Removing Calculus: Calculus (tartar) is hardened plaque on the tooth that develops over a period of time in the absence of proper oral care. It can also lead to gum disease if it deposits below the gum line.

Removing Stains: Dental Stains and discoloration can be caused due to every day factors. Excessive use of beverages like, tea, coffee, wine, and tobacco stains from cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and chewing tobacco, can lead to unslightly stains. To remove those stains you need professional dental help. We ensure that your teeth become bright and healthy after the cleaning sesson.

Winning Smiles need a Periodontal Dental Examination
While you are here at Cherry Tree Dental Care we'll make sure that you also receive a Periodontal Examination which is imperative to keep oral disease at bay. This exam will detect dental diseases before any problems become too serious.

Periodontal Disease Diagnosis: The examination focuses on bleeding or puffy gums, tooth infection, bad breath, or any other problems around the tooth.

Oral Cancer Screening: This involves a thorough head and neck exam to detect signs of oral cancer. Regular examinations help in early diagnosis.

Cavities and Tooth Fractures: Precise instruments are used to detect cavities and tooth fractures.

Evaluating Current Restoration: A regular oral examination helps in evaluating the status of the restorations - fillings, veneers, crowns, implants, bridges.

Veneers: When you have teeth stains that cannot be removed by whitening, veneers offer an alternative way to achieve white teeth. Veneers are essentially thin porcelain shells, which fit over your teeth to create a bright, flawless smile. Not only can our  custom veneers change the color of your teeth, they can even be crafted to alter the appearance of your teeth's very shape. Our veneers are so ultra-thin and natural looking, even our patients forget they're wearing them! Dr. Krystyna has years of experience crafting custom veneers, and we can work wonders with your smile.

Porcelain and Tooth-Colored Fillings: Does the way metal fillings look bother you, or do you hate the idea of metal in your mouth? Cherry Tree Dental Care specializes in porcelain and tooth colored fillings. Dr. Krystyna can expertly fill your teeth with discreetly colored materials, so that nobody knows they're there…even when you open wide!

Dental Bonding: Over the years, just about everyone has experienced a chipped tooth, or had their teeth shift in a way that leaves unattractive gaps. When that happens, we recommend dental bonding. Dental bonding is the application of a composite resin, a 'bonding' agent, to your teeth's problem areas. Dr. Krystyna will carefully manipulate the resin to fill awkward dental gaps and correct chipped teeth. Once everything is perfect, a high-intensity light is applied, hardening the resin into a durable surface that will last for years. Teeth bonded not only look great, they feel completely natural!

Tooth Whitening and Bleaching: If your teeth are suffering from discoloration, or if you'd simply like a brighter smile, our office will be happy to help you whiten your teeth. We'll create a custom bleaching tray that fits your teeth precisely, and help guide you through the whitening process. For more information on teeth bleaching and whitening, schedule a consultation with Dr. Krystyna.

What is Restorative Dentistry?
Restorative Dentistry is the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures.

Restorative Fillings: Say good-bye to metal fillings (known as amalgam) and hello to natural tooth-colored fillings (known as composite) to make your smile beautiful. Composites are the latest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. They are long lasting and bond right onto your tooth's surface. At Cherry Tree Dental Care your tooth colored filling procedure is done in one visit and the procedure is simple and painless.

Cavity Restorations: Cavities should be filled when they are small to avoid more painful conditions and more costly procedures such as root canals or extractions.

Old Restorations: Older fillings can be compromised by fractures and leaks. They should be replaced. To achieve a more esthetic look, composite (tooth-colored) fillings are used to replace older types of restorations.

Root Canal Treatment: A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve is removed and the inside of the canal is cleaned and sealed. Without such treatment the tooth may need to be extracted.

What are Prosthodontics?
Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry dealing with the replacement of teeth and related mouth or jaw structures by artificial devices.

Our goal is to be aware of our patients' needs while offering the respect and comfort necessary to make each and every visit pleasurable. So whether you need full dentures, partials or just repairs or maintenance, Cherry Tree Dental Care can help you. We use only top quality products and the finest labs available. We can make you a complete set of upper and lower dentures or we can provide partial dentures to fill the gap caused by some missing teeth. We make dentures that match and enhance your personality. At your visit, we'll discuss all your dental problems and advise you in a direction that will leave you smiling.

Crowns & Bridgework: Crowns become necessary when there is insufficient tooth structure to support a filling. Teeth that are severely broken down from decay or fractured can be fully restored to proper appearance and function with a crown restoration.

Crowns cover the tooth completely, fitting just at the gumline and protecting the remaining tooth. Most crowns are tooth-colored porcelain. The shade is customized to match your other teeth so that your crown will look just like a natural tooth.

Bridgework works like a series of connected crowns, replacing missing teeth by bridging the gap and using the surrounding teeth as abutments.

Dental Implants : Approximately 49% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 64 are missing at least one tooth. Dental Implants are the most advanced tooth replacement procedure. Dental Implants never develop decay, never require root canal treatments and there are no age limits, young as well as older patients can be candidates for dental implants.

Dentures: There are different types of dentures that you can chose from. Having a full set of dentures, that fit correctly, can restore your self-esteem by giving support back to your lips and cheeks, making you look more natural and even giving you a youthful appearance. In addition, you also regain your eating ability.

Digital X-rays

Understanding Digital X-ray
Educating our patients has become a critical component to our practice. With advanced technology it has become easier for us to educate our patients so that they understand the proper dental care that best fits their needs.

Digital x-rays have made diagnosis of dental problems and treatment easy and quick. With digital x-rays, there is no need to wait for x-ray reports, it's right there on the doctor's monitor within seconds. Digital x-rays are less time consuming and more convenient then traditional x-rays.

Once an x-ray is taken the projection instantly appears on the screen enabling the doctor and the patient to view all angles of the dental issue and discuss the problem. The computer technique allows us to zoom in and get a clear picture of the problem area. This enables us to detect any hidden cavities. The sooner the diagnosis, the better the treatment. We make your treatment safe and quick to bring back and restore your beautiful smile.

With an intraoral camera, patient education is simplified by being able to help the patient see what we see. The intraoral camera allows the patient to visualize more and helps the doctor diagnose fractures that the naked eye would never have seen.

Understanding Intraoral Camera

Intraoral Camera

Intra-oral cameras have revolutionized the entire patient-education process. The patient can now sit comfortably in a chair and get a clear picture of his/her tooth condition and make an informed decision before the condition gets worse. An intraoral camera is a small pen sized tool attached to a computer or monitor and comes with a disposable plastic sheath for contamination prevention. The intraoral camera takes a video of the inside of your mouth. The video is then transmitted via a cable to a screen and can be viewed by both the patient and the dentist.

Partials: We provide partial dentures for patients who want to fill the gap caused by missing teeth. This type of denture keeps all the teeth aligned and with proper care, saves them from further decay or infection in the gums.

There are several types of removable partial dentures. All of them use standard plastic denture teeth as replacements for the missing teeth. The difference between them is the material that is used to support the denture teeth and retain the partial denture in the mouth. At your visit, Dr. Krystyna Zietkiewicz will educate you on the type of partial that will best fit your life style. * updated 2019 * All Rights Reserved
